1. When statutory cancellation may apply
If you are a consumer and enter a service contract at a distance or away from business premises, mandatory law may provide a 14-day cancellation period starting after the contract is made. The exact position depends on the contract, how it was concluded, the work and the law that applies.
2. Starting during a cancellation period
If you expressly request work to begin during an applicable cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services properly supplied before you cancel. If the service is fully performed following the required express request and acknowledgements, the cancellation right may be lost where the law permits.
3. Goods and made-to-measure items
Different rules can apply to goods, specially ordered materials and items made to your specification. The project terms should identify relevant materials, ordering responsibilities and cancellation consequences before commitment.
4. How to give notice
Where you have a cancellation right, send a clear statement to support@stoneelixgrand.com identifying your name, contract or proposal reference, property address and decision to cancel. You may use the model wording below.
“I/We hereby give notice that I/We cancel my/our contract for the following service: [describe]. Contract date: [date]. Name and address: [details]. Date of notice: [date].”
5. Website enquiries
A website questionnaire is non-binding and does not itself require statutory cancellation: you may simply tell us you no longer wish to continue the enquiry.
6. Project-specific terms prevail
This page is general information, not legal advice. Mandatory rights cannot be removed by contract. The accepted written terms and cancellation information provided for the project will explain the applicable route.
